1. Rogpa was established in 2004. Rogpa is a Tibetan word meaning ‘trusted friends and helpers’, and it is these people that form Rogpa.
2. Rogpa acts to integrate the Tibetan community in exile by increasing Tibetan cooperation and responsibility.
3. This is currently achieved through the Baby-Care Centre (BCC) by providing Tibetan families with a childcare cooperative space, as well as annual festivals that raise awareness and funds for Rogpa’s projects.
4. Rogpa is not a business or a charity and does not subscribe to a ‘hand out’ philosophy. Rather, Rogpa acts to empower Tibetan people through combined efforts contributing to autonomy and self-determination.

1. Firstly, there is TSC (Tibetan Silver Community), and integrated employment and living space for senior Tibetan exiles. This will act to empower senior Tibetans through a sense of self worth resulting from job satisfaction and self sufficiency.
2. Secondly, Rogpa aims to develop a clothing and craft employment centre, using a fusion of traditional Tibetan and Western cultural influences.
3. Thirdly, a series of ongoing festivals showcasing the best of contemporary Tibetan and fusion music and culture, including a positive message of independence and motivation for Tibetan youth.
4. Depending on our finances, there are multiple projects we hope to implement in our Tibetan Community.
